Mitchell Gold is the Founder of Faith In America Inc.
Gold has a long history of supporting grassroots and national not-for-profits such as the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the Empire State Pride Agenda, the Design Industries Foundation for AIDS (DIFFA), Friends in Deed, the AIDS Leadership Foothills-Area Alliance (ALFA), the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, and the Leukemia Society.
In April 2005, Inc. magazine named Mr. Gold one of its 26 “Most Fascinating Entrepreneurs.”
In 1989, Gold and his business partner created a residential furniture manufacturing company, known as Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams and based in Taylorsville, North Carolina. Its product line offers both slipcovered and tailored upholstery (including down-blend cushions, premium goose-down-blend and comfortable sleepers), leather, sectionals, beds, ottomans, recliners, and dining chairs. Gold’s years of marketing experience with his partner’s talents as an art director set the course for the company and changed the furniture industry. Just nine years later, Inc. magazine positioned The Mitchell Gold Company at number 57 on its list of the 500 fastest growing private companies.
Due to its inclusive company policies, Mitchell Gold received a 100-percent rating on the Corporate Equality Index released by the Human Rights Campaign starting in 2003, the second year of the report. The company has maintained this rating.
