Rev. Nori Rost
Rev. Elder Nori Rost is founder and executive director of Just Spirit, headquartered in Colorado Springs, CO. The organization is affiliated with the denomination of Metropolitan Community Churches (MCC) which serves as its fiscal agent. Just Spirit is overseen by a three-member executive committee and is supported by an advisory board made up of social activists and interfaith religious leaders.
Rost holds a Master of Divinity degree from Iliff School of Theology in Denver, CO and is currently working on her Doctorate of Ministry from Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, MA. In 1999 Rev. Rost was elected to a four-year term as Elder in MCC. During that time she served on the U.S.-based National Gay and Lesbian Task Force Religious Roundtable. She is currently a member of Planned Parenthood Voices for Choice, a group of local pro-choice faith leaders.
